Photographic exhibitions at Forte Belvedere: Ieri, oggi, domani. Italia autoritratto allo specchio
After a year of pandemic
and social distancing, Forte Belvedere reopens with Ieri, oggi, domani.
Italia autoritratto allo specchio, a project of the Museo Novecento
born under the artistic direction of Sergio Risaliti.
The project includes two photographic exhibitions, open simultaneously at the
Forte Belvedere from 25 June to 10 October 2021: Italiae. Dagli Alinari ai
maestri della fotografia contemporanea, promoted by Fondazione Alinari per
la Fotografia and curated by Rita Scartoni and Luca Criscenti, and Pienovuoto
by Massimo Vitali, curated by Sergio Risaliti.
Italiae. Dagli Alinari ai maestri della fotografia contemporanea
is a selection of Alinari’s photos, among the best Italian photographs
dedicated to our country. Each image - from historical to contemporary ones -
tells about Italy and its identity, through an always different point of view,
technique and style.
Pienovuoto is a display of images by the great photographer
Massimo Vitali. Called the photographer of "metaphysical" shots, Vitali portrays
our society made up of solitude in the multitude, of full and empty spaces, of
crowds of people on sunny beaches, in swimming pools, at concerts, images that
in the post-covid era seem almost dreamlike, belonging certainly to a past life
we never lived.
Each shot in this exhibition arouses emotion, satisfies the eye, and immerses the visitor in a timeless atmosphere. It is an Italy like you've never seen it before.
