Street Art in Florence - Two strange companions
A strange pair of companions on the railroad wall in
viale Corsica.
On the one hand, we have what looks like a strange and menacing walrus, with huge
eyebrows, which could also be wings, and a cigarette in his mouth that draws a
monster of smoke in the air.
On the other hand, we have the companion, a very "cool" dragon with a
frayed denim vest and an insolent smile. Both characters have a crown on their
heads, perhaps the feel like the kings of the neighborhood.
The design is very precise, incisive and structured, the colors bright and
vivid. We liked it right away.
The mural would seem to bear the signature of 400 DROPS, a collective officially born in with the first lockdown
in 2020 with the aim of "bringing
color and life to the most degraded areas of the city". Increasingly active in the Florentine street art scene, the collective is also
author of the spectacular interactive mural SAVE THE PLANET, a huge work
painted on the walls at the base of Viadotto di Varlungo that is really worth seeing
on site with your own eyes.
