In Florence worked artists such as Michelangelo, Cellini, Giambologna, Donatello, Ghiberti, Verrocchio and many others. Each of them left us masterpieces that the whole world envies us, like Michelangelo's David. For an artist to attend a sculpture course in Italy and in particular in Florence in contact with these masterpieces and this tradition is therefore very important and formative. Sculpture is a form of art that allows the artist to experiment with different techniques and use a wide variety of materials. A sculptor can remove (carve), model (with clay), assemble by welding and other processes, work with stone, metal, ceramics, wood and many other materials.
The Sculpture course proposes the study of clay and marble sculpture with the traditional techniques (without machines). They will also have the possibility of making plaster casts. Those who already have a good knowledge of the techniques will discuss with the teacher an individual work plan during the course.
Courses start every Monday, and lessons are held in the afternoon: on the first week Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., the following weeks Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
This course is available in three types:
-Basic course (6 hours per week)
-Semi-intensive course (10 hours per week)
-Intensive course (20 hours per week, the first week 19 hours)
The minimum enrollment is 2 weeks for the Basic and Semi-intensive type and 1 week for the Intensive type.
All our teachers speak Italian, English and Spanish.

It is possible to book private lessons.
The Sculpture course gives students the opportunity to learn the techniques necessary to work with clay or marble. Students will make “bas-reliefs” or sculptures in the round dependig on their interests, and it will also be possible for them to make plaster casts of their works.
The school is equipped with a kiln where students can fire their clay sculptures with a small additional fee.
Blocks of clay and of high-quality marble from Carrara can be purchased directly at school. To attend the Marble Sculpture course it is necessary to register for at least 4 weeks as learning how to handle correctly the tools necessary for the processing of this material and carving in itself can require a long time of practice.
