The exhibition, curated by Maurizio Vanni and Joseph Amadei, consists of 80 works representing the different expressive techniques (oil on canvas, drawings, graphics and sculptures) used by Antonio Ligabue (1899-1965), one of the most controversial and unpredictable artists of the Italian art history of the twentieth century. The exhibition tries to answer the question whether the work of Ligabue was conceived by the artist in an altered state of mind, of lucid madness or compulsive creativity.
